#3 Both Indian captains in the two series suffered their first series whitewash

.Sourav Ganguly (21) and Virat Kohli (33) are two of the most successful Test captains in the history of Indian cricket. However, both men suffered their first series whitewash on their tours of New Zealand - Ganguly in 2002-03 and Kohli in 2019-20.
If that was not enough, both players also had forgettable outings with the bat in the two series. Kohli's return of 3, 14, 2, and 19 at an average of 9.5 was only marginally better than that of Ganguly's run of 5, 5, 17, and 2 in the 2002-03 series.
