Bangladesh will visit India soon to play a three-match T20I series. But the Bangladeshi fans wouldn't be too excited about it because their side has never won a T20I match against India.

The two teams met for the first time in the T20I format during the 2009 T20 World Cup at Trent Bridge, and India won that contest by 25 runs. Next, the two teams met in the 2014 T20 World Cup, where India defeated the hosts by 8 wickets.

In 2016, India registered three T20I wins over Bangladesh - two of them in the Asia Cup and one in the group stage of the 2016 T20 World Cup. During that World Cup match, Bangladesh had to score two runs off three balls but they still fell short and gifted the win to Team India.

India and Bangladesh later took part in a T20I tri-series in Sri Lanka where the Rohit Sharma-led outfit handed losses to Bangladesh in two league matches as well as the final. Bangladesh were very close to a win in the final, but a special effort from Dinesh Karthik denied them a victory.
