The African nation defied all the odds to the the qualify for their first ever World Cup in 2003. However, they failed to make a mark in the tournament as they lost all their matches.

Their World Cup campaign started against hosts Zimbabwe, and they ended up losing the match by 86 runs. In their next match against Pakistan, despite their bowling attack showing ominous signs, they were bundled out for 84 and lost the match by 171 runs.

The Namibians showed some fight against England, losing the match by only 55 runs. Sachin Tendulkar then scored a fantastic century as they were thrashed by India in their next match.

Chasing a stiff target of 302 against the defending champions Australia, Namibia were undone by a magical spell from Glenn McGrath and were bundled out for 45. They lost their final match against Netherlands by 64 runs, bringing their disastrous World Cup campaign to an end.
