#3 East Africa
The East Africa cricket team was a team representing the countries of Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Uganda. They made their only appearance in the 1975 World Cup, which was the first World Cup ever.
East Africa met New Zealand in their first encounter. Glenn Turner scored an unbeaten 171 and took the Kiwis to a formidable total of 309. The New Zealand bowlers had their tail up and dismissed East Africa for 128, winning the match by 181 runs.
East Africa were up against India next. Their batting faltered once again as they were bundled out for only 120. Sunil Gavaskar's 65 and Farokh Engineer's 54 took India home.
They were then crushed by hosts England in their final encounter, as they lost the match by 196 runs.
Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Uganda have separate cricket teams now, and East Africa does not exist anymore.
