Just like Dwayne Smith, it was a surprise to see Lendl Simmons go unsold in the 2018 auctions. The Carribean was brilliant for MI whenever he was given a chance but they opted to go with Evin Lewis this time.

Simmons could have given SRH the quick start they always wanted and that would have helped Kane Williamson's side score a lot more than they managed. The West Indian is a part-time wicket-keeper too and that could have given SRH the chance to play Deepak Hooda and Manish Pandey in the same match.
He too is an experienced player in the IPL and that is something SRH lacked big time. They were brilliant throughout the season but this small mistake cost them big time.
