Hashim Amla has played just two seasons in the IPL – 16 matches altogether. The South African has notched 577 runs with a strike rate of 141 and an average of 44! He's even got a century to his name – something a lot of players who have played 75+ games don't.

Amla would have been a better pick than Alex Hales and it could have made the SRH batting stronger. He, along with Dhawan, could have got them off to a quick start and put the pressure on the opponents from the word go.
