Afaq Hussain, a right-arm off-break bowler and a useful lower order right-hand batsman, has a great first-class record with 1448 runs and 214 wickets in 67 matches. In spite of having a good first-class record, he could play only two Tests for Pakistan against England and Australia.

Hussain holds a unique record in Test cricket, having scored the most Test runs (66) without being dismissed. In his first Test match against England in 1961, he scored 10* and 35*. Three years later in 1964, he got the opportunity to play against Australia, against whom he scored 8* and 13*.
