#3 Mohammed Asif ( Pakistan)
Mohammed Asif was a prodigious swing bowler during his playing days. He played 23 Test matches for Pakistan and picked up 106 wickets at a strike rate of 48.78 including 7 five wicket hauls and one ten-wicket haul in a match. He was not the quickest of the bowlers but was deadly accurate and used to trouble the batsmen with swing and seam.
The dashing batsmen Virender Sehwag once revealed that the most difficult Pakistani bowler he faced during his career was Mohammed Asif. Asif could not reach his full potential after showing initial promise due to disciplinary issues and unwanted controversies. His international career came to an abrupt end in 2010 when he was banned for seven years due to his participation in the spot-fixing scandal. After this issue, he never managed to make a comeback into competitive cricket.
This left the cricket world thinking what could have been?
#4 Shane Watson ( Australia)
Shane Watson is a highly talented batsman but could not reach the expected standards in international cricket. He always showed glimpses of his immense potential but could not convert it into consistent match-winning performances. He played 59 Test matches and scored 3731 runs at an average of 35.19 including 4 centuries. He was given ample opportunities to cement his place in the Test team but he failed to do so. His inconsistency with the bat can be mildly attributed to the recurring fitness issues he faced throughout his career.
He comparatively has a decent record in ODI cricket where he scored 5757 runs at a decent average of 40.54 including 9 centuries.
He considered as a legend in the T20 cricket leagues (IPL, PSL, KPL, BBL) all over the world as he has been a stellar performer for various T20 franchises across the world.
But he could not perform at the same level in the international arena due to which he is placed in this list.
