#2 Manish Pandey
India's biggest concern is the inability to find a steady middle-order. The selectors have tried out every player in the middle-order but with little success. Manish Pandey is one of those players.
In the past, Pandey had been given ample chances to cement a place in the Indian middle-order but he had failed to do so and was eventually dropped from the side. However, Pandey kept performing and after a fruitful series for India A in the quadrangular tournament, he made a comeback to the ODI side.
Pandey played the match against Afghanistan and came to bat at a time when the team was in trouble. However, he got out on 8 runs. Even though it might be harsh on Pandey to be dropped after only one failure, the fight for a spot in the national side is so tough that there is no room for any mistakes.
