It all happened on day four. Virat Kohli got into his grove and looked all set for a big knock in the second innings. However, he nicked Nathan Lyon to Khawaja at first slip and was dismissed for 17 off 40 balls. India was reeling at 48 for 3 when Kohli was dismissed.

Tim Paine added insult to injury with a dig aimed at Murali Vijay concerning Virat Kohli. The Australian captain was heard speaking to Indian opener between balls.

“Murali I know he’s your captain but you can’t seriously like him? You can’t seriously like the bloke,” Tim Paine said to Murali Vijay.

The two captains were involved in a series of heated conversations throughout the Test match and it boiled over on day four as umpires intervened.
