The Indian Test team wicket-keeper had played one of the finest innings during the final game against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014. George Bailey-led Kings XI Punjab dominated the season in 2014 and qualified for the finals for the first time in the history of IPL.
Batting first, Kings XI Punjab lost Virender Sehwag, George Bailey, and Glenn Maxwell cheaply. However, the wicket-keeper smashed his first IPL century and helped his team to post a match-winning total of 199 in the finals.
His knock included 10 boundaries and 8 sixes. But, Manish Pandey’s scintillating 94 off 50 deliveries helped his to lift the second trophy in the history of Indian Premier League. However, Wriddhiman Saha became the first player to score a hundred in an IPL final.
