Currently, the Melbourne Cricket Ground of Australia holds the record of the largest cricket ground in the world when it comes to seating capacity. However, within a few years, this record is going to be broken. The Sardar Patel International Cricket stadium located in Ahmedabad of India will break this record in the upcoming years.

The demolition work of this stadium started in the year 2015 under the leadership of construction company L&T with a motive to increase its seating capacity. It will be a huge transformation for this stadium as its seating capacity will be increased by a considerable amount.

This stadium hasn’t conducted any cricket match since the last 3 years pertaining to its renovation work. Hence, the fans are eagerly waiting to see the new look of this stadium which would be even grander than the MCG.
