Hailing from a small village in Kolkata, Dinda at an early age was spotted of his abilities of bowling consistently. Under the guidance of coach Atal Dev Burman, he rose to his peak and performed well for Bengal consistently.

He was picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the inaugural edition of the IPL, where he took 9 wickets in 13 games. Although he bowls yorkers consistently, he is far from being economical. He also holds an unwanted record of conceding the most runs by a bowler in the history of IPL.

He has played for several teams which includes Kolkata Knight Riders, Pune Warriors India, Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Rising Pune Supergiant. But he has never been the go-to-bowler in crunch situations.

His exaggerating style of bowling has little or no impact due to lack of pace. He was unsold in the 2018 IPL auction. With age not on his side, it will be a mountain task for him to find an IPL franchise in the upcoming years.
