Marriage is something that makes a relationship special—or more official—in that two people have promised to stick together through thick and thin.
A lot of cricketers bound themselves in to the holy bond of marriage in 2017. Here are 5 such players who, after being with their beloved for a while, decided to take things further by adding the tag of married.
#5: George Bailey
Former Australian T20I Captain George Bailey tied the knot with long term girlfriend Katie Upton at Queensland's Sunshine Coast in a ceremony attended by a host of cricketers including fellow Tasmanians Xavier Doherty, Jackson Bird and Tim Paine.
Bailey had recently been removed as a centrally contracted player by Cricket Australia but that was far from his mind as he enjoyed his big day with his loved one. His marriage was described as a "stunning circus under the big top featuring cowbells, bongos & clothes' pegs, with a party that went long into the night".
#4: Peter Nevill
Nevill married his partner Sammy Nelson in the Byron Hinterland overlooking the ocean in early April. The pair honeymooned in San Francisco, including a sea plane flight over the city. Despite his calm and collected nature on the field, Nevill is a major fan of aggressive heavy metal music, with Metallica his favourite band, and that was apparent in his marriage party.
Wicket-keeper Nevill lost his spot in Australia's Test team last year and was dropped from being a centrally contracted player of Cricket Australia but he was all smiles in a picturesque wedding by the Byron Bay.
#3: Ben Stokes
English cricketer Ben Stokes, 26, wed Clare Ratcliffe in a country wedding in a village near Weston-Super-Mare. Stokes and Ratcliffe, who is also the mother of his two children, symbolically chose a church which has a large stained glass window of a cricket glove and wicket.
The wedding came just weeks after Stokes, who is one of England's highest-paid cricketers, was arrested on suspicion of causing bodily harm outside a nightclub in Bristol. England Test Captain Joe Root and former Captain Alastair Cook were among many past and present stars to attend the ceremony.

India" girl Sagarika Ghatge on November 23, 2017.The duo opted for a court marriage, which was followed by a grand reception for Bollywood stars and Zaheer's team India colleagues on November 27 in Mumbai.
