Mitchell Starc has had to miss this year's IPL due to a leg injury

Mitchell Starc, the fierce left-arm pacer is the backbone of Australian bowling department. Ever since the departure of Mitchell Johnson, the onus had fallen on Starc to carry forward Australia's legacy.

Starc has pulled out of IPL several times due to repeated injuries. The injury threatened career has forced the pacer to limit his workload.

He suffered a tibial bone stress reaction which made him pull out of this year's IPL.

He had to miss the Boxing Day test due to a sore calf. He has had heel injuries, ligament tear, ankle injuries, etc in the past. Starc has played a total of 43 tests, 72 ODI's and 22 T20's for the Aussies.

With the ICC 2019 World Cup nearing in, Starc will have to work on his fitness more than anything else and also prevent from getting injured.
