However, the Royals put their money on Unadkat at the auction for IPL 2019 despite his underwhelming show last season. Unadkat was not retained by the Royals for IPL 2019 but he was bought back at the auction for 8.4 crores.
The story hasn't changed for the left-arm seamer in IPL 2019. In the 3 matches Unadkat has played in the season so far he has leaked runs at an economy rate of 12.40. The Saurashtra fast bowler was eventually dropped from the Royals' playing XI.
Rajasthan Royals does not have many options in the pace department and they will be desperate for a turnaround from Unadkat. Unadkat will need to justify the trust put in him by his team otherwise this might be curtains to his IPL career.
