In a 2014 match against KKR at Cuttack, Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma tried sneaking in a couple of overs from Simmons in order to complete the quota of the fifth bowler. However, the move backfired as Robin Uthappa smashed the medium pacer for a couple of sixes.
Although Simmons avenged the beating by clean bowling Uthappa, KKR went on to win the match. The delivery to which Robin got out was nothing more than ordinary and it was just a case of 'you miss, I hit' as the KKR opener missed a straight one.
