Mohammad Kaif helped India to a famous win

The first match of the 06' tour proved to be a nail-biting affair as India crossed the line by a margin of one ball. A rain-marred game meant that the match was reduced to 45 overs each. Chris Gayle slammed a hundred as his 123 helped the Windies reach 251.

The second innings saw another batting masterclass as Rahul Dravid opened the batting and scored a brilliant 105 off 102 balls. But the task at hand was completed by Mohammad Kaif with his unbeaten knock of 66, helping India win it in the final over.

Jerome Taylor made life difficult for the Indians but a stellar partnership between Kaif and Dravid saw India draw first blood in the series.
