Dhoni smashed 148 to deliver a memorable win for India

Pakistan toured India in 2005 for a 6-game ODI series. After winning the first game quite comprehensively, India were high on confidence and the focus shifted to Visakhapatnam for the second ODI. India won the toss and chose to bat first but lost their veteran batting legend Sachin Tendulkar for just 2 off 8 balls.

At No.3, Dhoni came in and smashed a quick-fire 148 off 123 including 15 fours and 4 sixes. Because of Dhoni's fireworks, the team posted a huge total of 356 on the board in 50 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. This was Dhoni's maiden ODI century.

The Pakistan team could not chase down the total and only scored 298 in 44.1 overs before they got bundled out. Nehra was the pick of the bowlers for India picking up 4 wickets after conceding 72 runs in his allotted 10 overs.
