#1 183* vs Sri Lanka, 2005
Neighbouring Sri Lanka visited India in 2005 for a 7-match ODI series. After winning the first two ODIs with ease, India entered the third ODI high on confidence. In the third ODI at Jaipur, the visitors won the toss and chose to bat first. Sangakkara played a very crucial knock, scoring 138 off 147 to take Sri Lanka to 298-4 in 50 overs.
In return, India lost their first wicket early in the innings with Sachin getting out only for 2 runs. MS Dhoni who then came in at No.3 dismantled the Sri Lankan bowling attack and scored an unbeaten 183* off 145 balls, accompanied by 15 overs and 10 sixes. The visitors had no answer to Dhoni as he battered them all around the park. This was Dhoni's second ODI century and India chased down the total in just 46.1 overs.
With this win, India took a 3-0 lead and went on to win the series, 6-1. MS Dhoni was awarded the Man of the Series trophy for his 346 runs in 5 innings at an average of 115.33.
