Walking in to bat at No.8 in a difficult situation, the 21-year-old showcased his class. Courtesy of his brilliant unbeaten ton, the visitors ended the day on 358/9, still trailing by 116 more runs.

Nitish Reddy slammed an unbeaten ton on the third day of the fourth BGT 2024-25 Test in Melbourne. Much to everyone's knowledge, this is his maiden century in the longest format for India.
Nitish remained unbeaten on 105 off 176 deliveries, including 10 fours and a six. He was also involved in a crucial 127-run stand with Washington Sundar, which led India's fightback. The all-rounder has one hundred in first-class cricket and this is his maiden century in international cricket as well.

KL Rahul's Test debut for India came during the 2014-15 tour of Australia. While he failed to score in the first game in Melbourne, Rahul announced himself during the second Test in Sydney.
Opening the batting for India in the first innings, Rahul notched up his maiden Test century at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). He scored 110 runs off 262 deliveries, smashing 13 fours and a six in his memorable knock.

Virat Kohli's love affair with Australia is widely known. He loves scoring runs against them, particularly in Australia. During India's tour down under in 2012, Virat slammed his maiden Test hundred in the fourth game in Adelaide.
In India's first innings, the right-hander walked into bat at No.6 and scored 116 runs off 213 deliveries. His runs came on a wicket where the likes of Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, and VVS Laxman failed to get going. The former Indian skipper hit 11 fours and one six in his knock.
#2 Mohinder Amarnath - Perth, 1977
Former Indian all-rounder and 1983 World Cup winner Mohinder Amarnath also registered his maiden Test century down under. It was the second match of the series in Perth. Amarnath got close in the first innings but was dismissed for 90.
However, Amarnath eventually got to the three-figure mark in the second essay, scoring 100 runs off 175 deliveries. He smashed only four boundaries in his entire knock. Despite his heroics in both innings, Australia won the game by a close margin of two wickets in the end.

Vijay Hazare, among the most prominent and legendary names in Indian cricket history, scored his maiden Test hundred in 1948 in Australia. He achieved the feat during the first innings of the Adelaide Test, scoring 116 runs off 303 deliveries.
It was a memorable game for Vijay Hazare as the right-hander slammed another ton in the second innings as well. He scored 145 runs from 372 balls, becoming the first Indian to register two hundreds in a single Test in Australia.
