Basil Thampi was the only bright spot in a dismal season for the Gujrat Lions in IPL 2017. The youngster grabbed eyeballs with his ability to bowl yorkers at will.

He hovers around the 140 kph mark and has a sharp bouncer as well. The 24-year-old numbers are not great for someone with his potential but there is no denying the fact that he is one of the hottest properties as far as fast bowlers in India's domestic cricket are concerned.

Thampi has picked up 11 wickets in 10 List A games and also has 11 wickets to his name in 12 IPL games.
