Haseeb Hameed shot to fame when he made his Test debut against India on 9 November 2016. Having debuted at the age of 19, Haseeb became the youngest England opener to make his debut.
He had a fantastic Test debut against India. In his debut match at Rajkot, he went on to score sublime 82 in England's second inning only after missing a well-deserved half-century in the first inning. If ever his 82 was not enough to tell about his character, his 59 at Mohali was breathtaking as he almost saved the match for England with his fractured finger. It was also his last knock of the tour, as he went back home for surgery on his broken finger.
