Manish Pandey, who struggled for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2018, rose back to form during the List-A Quadrangular series against Australia A and South Africa A. He scored 306 runs from his 4 innings without losing his wicket even once.

His inconsistency at the highest level has hampered his progress and may be left out of the squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup. He played just one ODI in 2018 and scored eight runs from 15 balls.

With Kedhar Jadhav, Ambati Rayudu, Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant more or less capturing the middle-order slot, he may miss on the ODI World Cup berth.

However, Manish Pandey is a consistent performer for India in T20Is. He played 13 T20Is for India scoring 299 runs at an average of 74.75. He will continue to be in India's T20 plan for the World T20.
