5 Indian talents to emerge out of the Indian Premier League

#4 Saurabh Tiwary

After proving his worth for the Indian Under-19 side in the 2008 world cup and for his state Jharkhand, Saurabh Tiwary was picked up by the Mumbai Indians in 2008. He did not feature in a lot of games in the first couple of seasons but became a regular in 2010.

He formed a successful partnership with Rayadu in the middle order and played a lot of important innings for Mumbai. He scored 309 runs in the 2010 edition of the tournament with an average of 29.92 with three half-centuries to his name.

His success in the IPL that year led to him being called up for the Asia Cup. He did not play in a single game in the tournament but made his debut later that year against Australia at Vishakhapatnam. He did not enjoy too much success with the Men in Blue as he played only 3 ODIs.

He was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2011 for $1.6 million but failed to impress. Ever since leaving Mumbai, his form has dipped and he will be hoping to revive it this time around.
