After the 2012 U19 World Cup, Unmukt Chand would have been on cloud nine. Being touted as the next Kohli, scoring a century in the final, landing an IPL contract, everything was going as it was supposed to. However, things took a sharp U-turn, and everything went downhill for the youngster.

He failed in the IPL and couldn't even find success for Delhi at the domestic level. As a result, he fell out of contention very quickly and wasn't even considered for India-A. He was even dropped from the Delhi team, a statement to his poor form. Even now, he isn't a guarantee in their XI.

His graph was miles ahead of his U19 counterparts such as Hanuma Vihari, Sanju Samson and even Manan Vohra. However, it has now fallen miles below. It would require a miracle for him to even come into contention for the Indian team as he isn't there in the IPL and has done nothing extraordinary for Delhi.
