The veteran player from Tamil Nadu would have found it quite unlucky that he did not was not selected in the squad for the final two Tests against England last month.

He has been in great form in the domestic circuit, scoring runs aplenty for his state. The last time he played a Test for India, he ended up scoring 82 runs against Sri Lanka.

The selectors should give him another chance and the series against West Indies would be a perfect opportunity for him to prove himself.
