In 2012, Yuvraj Singh was diagnosed with cancer and it was undoubtedly the most challenging phase of his life. At a stage where people ponder about their chances of survival, Yuvraj eyed a comeback into the national team.

He underwent chemotherapy in the United States which helped him recover steadily. The southpaw has been an epitome of grit, determination and perseverance as he weathered the storm of a deadly disease.

In January 2017, he smashed the England bowling attack in a One Day International as he notched up his highest score of 150. At 35, Yuvraj might not be the vibrant cricketer that he once was, but he is still an essential component of the Men in Blues in the limited overs format.
