Back in 2015, Delhi Daredevils appointed JP Duminy as the captain after Kevin Pietersen had led them in the previous season.
However, this did not prove to be a very fruitful venture as the side punched well under their weight and never got going in the league.
In 14 matches, they could only win five and lose eight, a record which attracted fierce criticism from the home fans. Duminy was then replaced by Zaheer Khan in the next couple of seasons.
