Yes, even a certain Mahendra Singh Dhoni makes this list. Back in 2016, when the Chennai Super Kings were barred from the IPL, Dhoni was snapped up by the Rising Pune Supergiant and was named captain of the side.
However, injuries plagued the team and neither Dhoni nor his team could get going at any point and it was a forgettable experience for Pune in 2016.
With only five victories in 14 games, Pune finished seventh in the league and Dhoni was replaced by Australian captain Steve Smith for the next season.
