As stated earlier, IPL has had some great all-rounders over all the 11 seasons. But scoring consistently as well as taking wickets at the same time is not an easy job.
Not only do you have to be skillful but your fitness level has to be top class because there’s not much rest between the matches.
Scoring 2500+ runs and taking 50+ wickets is a big feat. Only Shane Watson has managed to achieve this among all the big names in the IPL.
Watson has been an integral part of the IPL since the very first season and has offered his services to three teams.
During the course of 11 seasons, he has played 117 matches and has scored 3177 runs at an impressive average of 32 while striking at 142.
With the ball, he hasn’t bowled much in the last couple of seasons but still has 93 wickets to his name while giving runs at 7.93 rpo.
No other player is even close to achieving this feat. The second best is Kieron Pollard who has 2477 runs and has 56 wickets.
