#5 Hardik Pandya's 93 runs off 95 balls in the first test
When Hardik Pandya came to the crease in the first innings of the first test, India were tottering at 76 for 5 and were still trailing by 210 runs. South Africa was looking to take a big lead, just then Pandya scored a quick-fire 93 runs off 95 balls making a brilliant counterattack. He put the South African bowlers on the back foot and got India back in the game. He was involved in a 99 runs partnership with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, which showed his ability to bat with the lower-order. Even though India lost the test, his fearless approach gave the side the confidence that they can bat on tough South African pitches.
