Virat Kohli showed his class in the first innings of the second test when he scored a fluent century on a tough batting pitch. Kohli looked in sublime form during his innings of 153 runs. He made half of his team's total score. The second best score of the team being 46 shows the difficulty other batsmen faced playing on that pitch. Kohli played some elegant shots against a top-quality bowling unit. South Africa tested him with short-pitch bowling but Kohli responded brilliantly with some dazzling pull shots. Unfortunately, India lost the match, but Kohli's century, which was the only one of the series from either side, will be remembered by the fans for a long time.
