If you've been a fan of the Indian cricket team for more than 10 years, then this moment will certainly be the most disappointing cricketing moment in your history. Not only did this match end India's campaign in the 2007 Cricket World Cup, but the aftermath of this defeat also initiated a passing of torch moment in India cricket and changed the whole landscape of Indian Cricket. For Bangladesh, it was a coming-of-age moment in cricket.

It was after this match that cricket teams and fans all over the world started taking Bangladesh seriously as they caused one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history. India was one of the pre-World Cup favourites to win the cup, but this defeat to Bangladesh in their opening fixture not only put a dent on their chances, it initiated one of the biggest exits that World Cup had ever seen.

Batting first in Port of Spain, India consistently lost wickets in the early goings until an 85 runs 5th wicket partnership between Sourav Ganguly(66) and Yuvraj Singh(47) took them to 157/4. At this point, another mini-collapse was triggered and the Indian inning folded for just 191 in 49.3 overs. The Bangladeshi chase didn't start in the best possible way, but a trio of fifties by Tamim, Shakib and Mushfiqur Rahim kept the scoreboard ticking and took them past the target with 5 wickets and 9 balls to spare, handing India a humiliating WC defeat.
