#2 Jacob Oram
The gigantic all-rounder was perhaps the ideal T20 player considering the skills he brought to the game. Jacob Oram was known for being one of the biggest hitters in the game back in the day and he was a decent seam bowler, who could open the bowling for the side if the captain wanted.
The left-handed batsman was an excellent fielder too and hence it was not a surprise when he was picked up by the Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural IPL auction. In the first season, he played only 4 games but did not quite get going with the bat and his highest was only 13.
On the bowling front, he didn't do much either, picking up only 3 wickets and recording an economy rate of 9.31. The following season in South Africa in 2009, he played in 11 games but yet again he did not quite get going with the bat and recorded a strike rate of only 94.62, with the highest being 41 not out.
On the bowling front, he only picked up 5 wickets and went for 8.58 per over. Following that, he suffered from injuries and although he was later on signed by the Mumbai Indians, his IPL career never quite reached the heights that many envisaged.
