Joe Root is yet to be picked up by any IPL franchise. Joe Root has been one of the most consistent players in world cricket. Though he isn’t considered a big hitter, his stroke play could benefit Delhi Daredevils as he is a great top order batsman.
He still manages to average 39 in T20Is at an impressive strike-rate of 128.76. His consistent form combined with finesse can add a bit of much-needed flair to DD’s batting lineup. Moreover, he could take some of the pressure off Shreyas Iyer and his experience can benefit the youngsters as well. He would fit in perfectly with DD’s atmosphere at Feroz Shah Kotla.
