2.David Warner(DD to SRH)
The Australian opener began his career at the Delhi Daredevils, where he did create the kind of impact in the four years he spent there. However, he did learn a very important lesson in the franchise from Virender Sehwag on how to maximise his chances of getting runs in boundaries when the fielders were positioned in catching positions in slips.
In 2013, the left-hander shifted base from up north to down south and to the city of Hyderabad. In the four years that he has spent at the franchise so far, he has been the key figure as far as the batting os concerned and has also earned widespread praise for the leadership skills.
Warner’s ability to go after the bowling from the word go has meant that Sunrisers have managed to put the opposition on the backfoot in most matches and last year, his consistent performances at the top helped the franchise win their maiden title last year.
Delhi Daredevils(2009-2012): 57 Matches, 1456 runs
Sunrisers Hyderabad(2013- Present): 57 matches, 2473 runs
