The only player to amass 1500 runs and play over 40 matches in World Cups

She is also the leading run-scorer in Women’s ODIs at the moment with 6137 runs

The latest addition to the list is the 34-year old present India women’s skipper Mithali Raj. She achieved the feat during India’s must win encounter against New Zealand in the ongoing edition of the women’s World Cup.

Raj now has 1086 runs in 29 World Cup matches, courtesy of her innings of 109 against the New Zealand women on Saturday. It includes a total of two centuries and nine half-centuries at an average of 57.15.

She is also the leading run-scorer in Women’s ODIs at the moment with 6137 runs to her name in 184 ODI matches. She achieved this feat during India’s match up against the Australia women on July 12 that India lost eventually.

She also holds the record for the second highest individual score in Test cricket. Her innings of 214 came against the England women at Taunton in 2002. It stood as the highest individual score in Tests until Pakistan’s Kiran Baluch scored 242 in 2004.
