#1 Karn Sharma (SRH-2016 & MI-2017)

How about 4-0-18-0 in the final!
How about 4-0-18-0 in the final!

Out of all the players in the list, releasing Karn Sharma must have hurt his former franchise the most.

The leggie was a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016. While the Orange Army won their first ever title, Karn failed to impress in the tournament. He played in 5 games during the season without picking up a single wicket.

Karn was released by SRH before the start of the 2017 season. But it turned out to be a big mistake by the management.

The Mumbai side spent 3.2 crores for the spinner who failed to pick up a single wicket in his previous season. But Karn soon proved his worth with some great performances in the competition as he picked up 13 wickets in just 9 games.

But his most important contributions came in the last two games of IPL 2017. Karn ran through Kolkata’s batting line-up in the second qualifier and ended up with 4-16 in 4 overs.

In the final against RPS, Mumbai had to defend 129 runs. Karn Sharma performed exceptionally well during the middle overs, giving away just 18 runs in the 4 overs. As Mumbai won the match on the last ball of the 20th over, Karn won his second consecutive title.
