Delhi Daredevils might have a strong foreign contingent but their depth will be tested as they lost two crucial stars ahead of IPL 2017. While Quinton de Kock decided to forego the IPL due to a finger injury, his compatriot JP Duminy pulled out due to personal reasons.

In the all-rounders department, Daredevils are well stocked with the likes of Corey Anderson, Chris Morris, Angelo Mathews and Carlos Brathwaite all in the squad. But a player of Duminy's quality and the experience that he brings will surely be missed.

Speaking about his decision, the South African all-rounder was keen to reiterate his wish to play for the franchise once again. Duminy said: "It has been a very difficult decision for me to make, but it was for purely personal reasons. I am grateful for the support and understanding from the franchise. It has been an absolute privilege to have played for and led a talented mix of players. I certainly hope to play a part for the franchise in the near future."
