The Indian spinners proved their worth by picking wickets in the middle overs which restricted the opposition batsmen. Kuldeep Yadav was brilliant in the entire tournament for India. He took 10 wickets in 6 matches with an average of 23.70 and economy of 4.08.

Ravindra Jadeja made a comeback into the ODI team after a long period of 15 months. He bowled brilliantly taking 7 wickets in 4 matches with an average of 22.28 and economy of 4.45 runs per over. He was quite decent with the bat as well.

Kedar Jadhav also contributed to the team's success in this year's Asia Cup winning campaign. He took 6 wickets in 6 matches with an average of 23.16 and economy of 3.97 runs per over.

The leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal also picked up important wickets in the middle overs. He took 6 wickets in 5 matches with an average of 32.83 and economy of 4.19 runs per over.
