Mahendra Singh Dhoni- the name speaks for itself.
Dhoni received his maiden call from the Indian team in 2004 after a strong performance in India A tour. However, his first appearance didn't last long. Playing against Bangladesh, Dhoni suffered a tragic run-out, scoring a golden duck on his debut.
After that, with a massive century against Pakistan in Visakhapatnam, Dhoni consolidated his place in the side as a top-order batsman. Considering his leadership success in the T20I format, Dhoni was handed over ODI captaincy in 2007, and the rest is history.
Milestone Alert: Dhoni requires 33 runs to become the 12th player to score 10000 runs in an ODI career.
