CSK have appointed former New Zealand Captain Stephen Fleming as their head coach and the Australian legend Mike Hussey as their batting coach. Fleming has been associated with the Kings from the very first season, first as a player in 2008 and then as a coach from 2009 onward.

Fleming is known for his tactical abilities and calm attitude and he knows the team very well. Mike Hussey's case is similar to Fleming's, he has also played as a player for CSK, playing a crucial role in their 2010 IPL win.
