He had a great camaraderie with the little master Sachin Tendulkar with whom he was involved in 20-century partnerships.

Building partnerships is an art in cricket and Dravid mastered it like no other batter in test history. With T20 invasion it is very rare to find partnership getting built around in the middle which would eventually help the team.

Rahul Dravid is probably the greatest #3 batsmen ever to have walked the earth after Sir Don Bradman. In the same generation as that of Rahul, many legends too played at #3 positions like Ricky Ponting who despite being a part of the legendary team couldn't leave Dravid behind.
