#2 Muttiah Muralitharan

Despite the fact that the veteran off-spinner is known for his ODI and Test Cricket heroics, his performances in the franchise based T20 Cricket has also been reasonably good, the only exception being- the Indian Premier League.
In the 164 T20s that Muralitharan has featured in, he has 179 wickets to his credit with a healthy average of around 22.
However, when it comes to the IPL, Muralitharan achieved mediocre success with 63 wickets in 66 matches and was never the primary weapon for a side. As a result, Muralitharan has no four-wicket hauls or fifers in the Indian Premier League and his most memorable spell is that of 3/11 which came in the second season of the IPL after which his performances gradually declined.
In his last two seasons of IPL, Muralitharan averaged a bizarre 59.00 and 41.33. Having played just 11 games in these two seasons combined, Muralitharan did not quite shine in the Indian Premier League as much he did, representing his country in ODIs and Test Cricket.
