Anjali Tendulkar says that Sachin couldn’t sleep the night when India underperformed

“Cricket pehle tha, hum sab baad mein (Cricket was the first priority, then us),” tells Anjali, who is six years older to her lover turned husband. A doctor by profession, Anjali goes on to narrate that she and the family made peace with the fact that Sachin would always prioritize cricket over them .

However, it was when she reveals that Sachin would spend sleepless nights every time India underperformed is what fills you with emotions.

“Jab bhi team acha nahi khelti thi, toh wo itna pareshan hota tha ki raat ko so bhi nahi pata tha (When the team didn’t play well, he would’ve sleepless nights),” she tells.
