#2 760 for 7 declared by Sri Lanka at Ahmedabad, 2009

When it comes to epic run fests, very few teams can boast of the sort of Test matches that India and Sri Lanka have produced over the course of the past few decades. In that respect, the 1st Test of the series in 2009 at Ahmedabad was no different.
Having elected to bat first, India scored 426, thanks to centuries from Rahul Dravid (177) and captain MS Dhoni (110). However, Sri Lanka's response was awe-inspiring as they took the Indian bowling attack apart in a display of immense of batting skills.
Opener T. Dilshan scored 112, while Mahela Jayawardene made 275 and finally wicketkeeper Prasanna Jayawardene helped himself to an unbeaten 154, as Sri Lanka declared for a colossal 760 for 7 in just over 202 overs.
They scored at a rate of 3.75 an over. India were of course under pressure, having conceded a lead of 334 runs but they batted out the remainder of the game and the match ended in a predictable draw.
