After a torrid time batting for the first time in Tests, the agony for the Afghans was not over as after getting out for 109, they were asked to follow-on by India and things were no different. Umesh Yadav ran through the top order to finish with 3 for 26.

Hashmatullah Shahidi was the only man to show any semblance of a fight top scoring for the visitors with his unbeaten 35. Ravindra Jadeja showed his experience from the other end, running through the lower order taking 4 for 17 to ensure India won the Test in just two days, making it the shortest ever Test to ensure a result in India.
