Throughout his career, Kumble valued his wicket a lot and used to be a trusted partner for the likes of Tendulkar, Laxman and Dravid. To add to it, he also scored a Test century to his name, that too in foreign conditions.

Keeping this in mind, the pressure is surely going to be on the tailenders in the present team to improve their batting.
