Shubman Gill became a household name after a superb ICC U19 World Cup campaign. He found himself at Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL and though the initial days were not easy, he justified his hefty price tag when he was sent up the order. Gill amassed 203 runs in the IPL and carried his form into the tri-series.
In 4 matches, Gill scored 187 runs at an average of over 60 which also included two half-centuries.
His best knock came against England Lions at Grace Road, Leicester, where he scored 72 runs in just 80 deliveries.
The youngster from Fazilka, Punjab will be turning 19 after a couple of months, and he soon might be termed 'too good' for India A.
